SHELTON, Conn. – September 15, 2017 – Inline Plastics Corp. announced today the release of the next generation of their Safe-T-Fresh® product line with the new PagodaWare™ series of food packaging containers. These uniquely shaped, exceptionally clear food packages combine the company’s patented, breakthrough Safe-T-Fresh tamper evident technology with an innovative ‘pagoda’ shape specifically designed to showcase the contents for greater consumer appeal.
Customer response to the new design was overwhelmingly positive when the new containers were introduced at the Sweet & Snacks and International Deli Dairy and Bakery Association (IDDBA) trade shows earlier this year. “The sleek ‘pagoda’ shape creates a virtual 360° view of the container contents,” explained Sarah Hobson, Inline Plastics Corp. Product Manager. “When choosing packaged foods, consumers make decisions in seconds. Research has shown that more than half of U.S. consumers find it important to see the actual product they are buying.
New Design Increases Consumer Appeal
“58% of impulse produce purchases are the result of eye catching displays,” according to Food Business News. Understanding that packaging matters when consumers are making purchasing decisions, the PagodaWare’s innovative angles were developed to create an impressive and attractive display when multiple containers are stacked together on the shelf.
Food safety also remains a top concern among consumers. As part of the Safe-T-Fresh product line, all PagodaWare containers incorporate the company’s industry-leading, tamper-evident, and tamper-resistant tear-strip locking mechanism. They are also robust, leak-resistant, and resealable, making the packaging reusable. An important design element, as “81% of consumers would choose products with a resealable package over a non-resealable,” notes Packaging Innovation. Additionally, these single piece clamshells are easy to handle with the built in SureGrip® technology.
The new PagodaWare product line offers five different package sizes, starting at 16oz for smaller grab-and-go food items, all the way up to 64oz for those heavier cut fruits. All PagodaWare packages are made in the U.S.A. with 100% recyclable PET material and are automation ready.
